Do I need to register in order to use the site?
No, you can use the site without registering to look at team rosters, player information, and trades posted by other users. You can also vote on trades posted by other users and read blogs about the trades. You will need to register in order to post your own trades or blog about a trade.
Does anyone besides the Administrators see my information when I register?
There is a section that is for the Administrators of the site that will not be viewed by anyone else. There also is another section that is clearly labeled that other users will be able to see. You may choose to leave that section blank.
How do I log in?
Once you have registered, go to the upper right hand corner of the screen and click Login and follow the steps given. If you do not log in, you will be prompted to do so at various stages as required.
When using this site, is there a preferred procedure?
Yes, in order to keep this site professional and uncluttered; there are some basic rules and preferences. Keep in mind, use of capitalization is considered screaming. Selective use can make a point while constant use is annoying. It is important to back up your proposals with reasons to prove your point. Please review previously posted proposals as someone else might have already proposed the transaction you are considering. In order to keep the site uncluttered, we would suggest you vote and blog on a previously-submitted proposal rather than make the same proposal again. If you want to make a new proposal with different reasons, that would be fine. The site does not allow personal attacks or offensive language. Swearing is strictly forbidden. Remember, the Administrators have the right to censor any user-submitted material at any time.
Do votes make a difference?
Yes, not only is it immediate feedback for you, but it will also help to determine your ranking. You start as an Intern (•) and the more people agree with your trades/moves, the faster you will be promoted to Assistant General Manager (••), then to General Manager (•••), and eventually to the Hall of Fame (••••) -- so votes do matter. It is the best way to give your opinion of other users' proposals, so vote, vote, vote!
How do I make a Trade?
Select the sport and then one of the teams that will be involved in the proposal you are making. In the header, click on New Proposal. You will then need to fill out a Headline, Details and Explanation. After that has been completed, all you need to do is click Submit.
Can I edit a trade once I post it?
At this time, the answer is no. This may change but currently the Administrators feel that it is too complicated to erase a trade, due to the voting process. However, if you want to add a play or something similar, just propose it again!
What should be in a heading?
The heading is very important since this is what will catch the attendance of other users on the trade page. The body of your trade will not be visible. It is necessary to click on the header in order to see the trade proposal. Therefore, your header should include the name of the "biggest" player in your proposal in order to get the most attention.
Whom should I contact for help?

If I see something offensive, what should I do?
The site is monitored by the Administrators on a routine basis. However, it is possible for them to miss something. If you find anything you find offensive, please email support@generalmanagercorner.com including information such as user's name and link or copied/pasted text of the offensive post. If vulgar/offensive language is involved, the post will be removed and the user's account taken away.
